About Us

Mission Statement:
Concerned Ontario Doctors is a grassroots, non-profit organization of frontline physicians advocating for a patient-centred, sustainable, accessible and quality healthcare system. We stand united in our belief that unilateral actions by any government will undermine our ability to deliver timely and quality patient care.

Concerned Ontario Doctors are committed to the following:

  1. No further unilateral actions by the Ontario government now and in the future.
  2. Restore adequate funding to Physician Services.
  3. A Physician Services Agreement negotiated with a fair and binding dispute resolution mechanism now and in the future.
  4. Renewal of the Ontario Medical Association's governance structure to be a strong voice for frontline physicians with process transparency and accountability.
  5. Constructive collaboration between the Ministry of Health and Ontario's physicians to create a quality healthcare system that is patient-centred, accessible and sustainable.
  6. A healthcare system reform that combines a solid foundation in primary care with timely access to expert specialist care.
  7. Programs that support physician recruitment and retention to meet the complex healthcare needs of a growing and aging population.
  8. A universal and comprehensive electronic medical record that is integrated across various physician offices and hospitals.
